Fan Works Guidelines

This is a reference translation. The Japanese version is authoritative and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

"EDO ONLINE" (the "Service") welcomes fan works based on the Service. Please feel free to enjoy creating illustrations, comics, fiction, videos, and more using the Service's world, characters, and screens, within the scope described below.

• Fan works based on the Service (illustrations, comics, fiction, videos, fan art, etc.) may be created freely for personal enjoyment. No prior application or permission is required.
• Sharing them on SNS, at fan conventions, and on various posting sites is also welcome.
• Content the Service officially provides (gameplay screenshots, official images, music, etc.) may generally be used freely, as long as the use does not harm the Service's brand and is not commercial.

Parts of the Service use free assets provided by third parties (fonts, images, audio, etc.). Please note the following.

• You may not redistribute the free assets themselves (e.g., redistributing the asset files or extracting and distributing them).
• When using a part that includes such free assets, please comply with the terms of use of each asset's rights holder or distributor. Those terms take precedence over these guidelines.
• Material that stands on its own as the Service's original expression, such as gameplay screenshots, may be used within the scope of the Basic policy above.

• Among the Service's music, tracks created by the game's developer, Atelier Mawarimichi (アトリエ廻り道), may be used freely in video production such as on YouTube.
• When you use a track in a created or distributed work, please include, as a credit, the track title and EDO ONLINE (https://ffa-edo.com/).
• This does not apply where crediting is difficult, such as when using a track as background music for a livestream.
• Note that for tracks that use external free audio assets, please follow “Handling of free / third-party assets” above and comply with each distributor's terms.

• Please do not pretend to be the official operator, or imply an affiliation or endorsement with the Service that does not exist.
• Please refrain from producing, selling, or distributing physical merchandise (accessories, apparel, novelty goods, etc.).
• Selling or distributing fan works as if they were official goods or official works is not permitted.
• Please avoid content that harms the reputation or credibility of the Service, its users, or third parties, or that is contrary to public order and morals.
• If your work contains excessively violent or obscene expression, please apply appropriate care such as clear age restrictions (zoning).
• For uses that go beyond individual creative activity, such as commercial use by companies, please contact us in advance.
• Use that violates the Service's Terms of Use or Community Guidelines is not permitted.

• The contents of these guidelines may be changed without notice as needed.
• The revised guidelines take effect from the time they are posted on this website.
